We spent almost 2 months at my parent’s new house in Utah this Fall. It was great! We were gone for 2 full weeks of that time, in Hawaii (thanks to my angel sister, Lea, who took our 2 girls in addition to her 3 active boys! And also, my parents watched the girls on the weekends), and when we were in town, we were generally glued to our computers, trying to get our Polish Pottery and Wood Watches website in working condition. We have been “on the road” for a month, already. The girls have been good sports, for the most part. This is the best part of the day, however: Maiya broke into my makeup bag… This is how we travel in to hotels…it is so much easier to control the temperature in a room when we use our reliable and predicatable heater, instead of the hotel’s system…. Well, we’re off to Hawaii for 2 weeks (without the kids–thanks to my sister and Mom in Utah!) for a working vacation, so it seems our fortunes are already coming...

When we packed up our van in Mexico, we discovered that we didn’t have room for half of our back row of our van. So, we left it there. We had actually left the other half in Washington State already, so we drove up North without a back row whatsoever (it left so much more room for packing everything else)! The drive to Tepic was beautiful. We kept climbing further and further into the mountains. Our windshield kept getting dirty with bugs, and it was a funny (and sad) moment when we realized all of the bugs were actually BUTTERFLIES! There are butterflies everywhere!
