When on vacation in the Western US…

 Don’t even think of missing Moab…

Or Bryce Canyon! What are ya…nuts?!!

Go fishing!

and donate the fish to someone who actually likes fish…

Teach your baby to crawl on something other than tile (or at least try) …

Eat fresh cherries…

Visit Temple Square in Salt Lake City…

Time it perfectly for the sunset…what luck!!

Enjoy July 24th festivities in Utah (and throw your kid in the parade, if you have a chance!)

Make new freckles…but keep the old…

Go indoor glow-in-the-dark golfing…

Get plenty of playground time…

Get blown away by the Kennecott Mine in the Salt Lake Valley

Enjoy time with grandparents, cousins, and aunts and uncles!

Give some back rides…

Break some rules…

Learn something new…

Celebrate Wedding Anniversaries (60th for the grandparents!), and relish the fact that your kids actually get to meet them!

Go to a Mariner’s Game in Seattle (or better yet, let your husband go to a Mariner’s game without kids!)…

Let your amazing sister take cute photos of your kids while you escape with hubby…

 

And put another 6,000 miles on your van!!

Jared decided to wait the arrival of some extraterrestrials…

When they didn’t arrive, he instead hoisted some of the kids to the top of the structure.

And when the little kids started begging to go up, too…Jared decided to get his hand-dandy work ladder out of the van for them.

I shot this photo of Jared’s legs dangling just moments before he decided to JUMP OFF the building.

I don’t even know what to say to that…

…except that I hope my children surive their youth with an example like that.
