This morning Jared and I were walking the Ajijic Malecon, as we try to do almost every day.

We’re used to seeing some interesting creepy crawlers trying to cross the nice paved walkway (mostly beetles), but today I did a double take when I saw this little guy:

And when I say “little,” I mean little!
Assuming hoping that he wasn’t poisonous, we had to take advantage of the photo op and then let him free on the grass where he would be much safer!

  1. Did it have a “singing” voice when it croaked – namely a sound like “Coqi”?!?! Sounds silly, but there is a Dora episode about “Coqui” frogs – tiny, tiny frogs that sing “coqui” – Shayne and I saw and heard them while in Puerto Rico – it was JUST LIKE THE CARTOON!! And such a joy to see and hear them in person.
